Developing an early love for learning
Children’s social and emotional skills are so important during these years and provide a strong foundation for early literacy and numeracy. Children learn best when they believe that they can. Through a rich combination of play-based and intentional teaching, our Kindergarten programs allow them the freedom to explore their interests and ideas and to contribute to learning and discovery across indoor and outdoor learning spaces. Learning extensions in local communities, accessed via incursions and excursions will help confidence grow everyday and support their transition to preschool and beyond.

Our government-approved Kindergarten Programs’ curriculum is based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. This allows our canopy early childhood Kindergarten teachers to deliver a quality program that meets national and state standards and regulations, alongside their commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment to support your child’s early education.

Kindy community connection
At canopy Early Education, building strong connections with local schools is a crucial part of our school readiness program. This helps ensure a smooth transition for children and a sense of community belonging for our families. To achieve this, we provide excursions to the local schools, hold informational sessions for families, and invite school staff and students to visit our childcare centres. Additionally, community incursions and excursions help build the childrens’ confidence and ease their transition to Primary School and beyond. Towards the end of the year, we host an end-of-year graduation ceremony celebrating their early years learning journey and development. This support enables children to begin formal schooling as independent, creative, problem-solving learners.
