Our Story

canopy Early Education® is a not-for-profit, community focussed organisation. We have been providing quality childcare and early childhood education for families of Brisbane for over 30 years, connecting with and supporting our local communities.

We are committed to giving our families the absolute best when it comes to providing quality play-based learning programs and environments. This commitment extends to our effort in employing like-minded, dedicated, professional and friendly team members, with several staff having been with us for many years.

We provide care and education for children from six weeks to school aged, including a government approved Kindergarten program.

All of our rooms are staffed by qualified, friendly educators who are committed to continued learning and improvement in the early childhood education and care areas.

Our Philosophy

At canopy Early Education®, we believe that building strong relationships with families and our local community is the foundation for delivering quality educational programs. Our focus is on recognising each child as a unique individual and tailoring our play-based, community connected learning programs to their interests and strengths allowing them to learn, grow and discover in safe, nurturing, natural environments.

Our educators collaborate with families, building strong partnerships to create meaningful learning experiences for children. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework, emphasising secure relationships, family and community partnerships, respect for diversity, and ongoing learning. canopy Early Education® is committed to reconciliation with Australia’s First Peoples, recognising them as traditional owners of the land on which our centres stand. Our practices, relationships and education programs reflect genuine respect for all cultures, fostering unity and understanding within our community.

Our toddler daughter has thrived at Little Cribb, since starting as a baby. The team are incredible and go over and above to make sure the children feel comfortable and settled. The big bonus at Little Cribb is the large outdoor play yard and our daughter has definitely benefitted from the shared play times with all ages in this area. The people we’ve met and the love, care, and kindness we’ve been shown is amazing. Nothing has ever been a problem and anything that has come up I’ve been given guidance and support to overcome. From the exceptional teaching, communication, learning, facilities, administration and friendship, everyone at API have been such a big part of our lives for so long. I highly recommend this “family” to everyone. Lola has made such great friends over the years, with not only the little people but all the teachers and staff too. My child has been going to Big Cribb since October 2021 and I couldn’t imagine a better centre. They are inclusive, communicative and the staff seem to genuinely care. Our daughter has been attending the centre for nearly six months and we have been so impressed with the whole API experience. It was the first time sending our little one to daycare and the transition has been seamless. All the educators are so lovely and have a genuine love for the children, most mornings our daughter runs happily into an educator’s arms. Communication is excellent (in particular the daily updates of our child’s day via an app).
