Milton: Inner-City Coffee Stops for Families

Milton is ideal for inner-city families who love great coffee followed by an easy stroll. A canopy Early Education favourite is the open-aired Bunker Coffee, known for its excellent lattes and much-loved babycinos.

While enjoying your coffee, wander through the nearby under-road bypass to the Brisbane River walkway, where children can watch the ferries come and go while parents enjoy the last few sips of their coffee.

Dux Gutz Café in Milton that truly ticks all the boxes for families. Located inside the PCYC and overlooking Suncorp Stadium, it offers a relaxed setting with great coffee and tasty meals and all-day kids’ menu. Café 63 is another easy stop, with a broad menu and a casual atmosphere, part of the chain’s family-friendly style, often including high chairs and kid-friendly dishes.

After coffee, head to Dakabin Reserve or Kallangur Parks, where children have plenty of space to run, climb, and burn off energy. Pack a picnic before you go or simply enjoy the sunshine while taking in the peaceful surroundings.

A bit further, is the Wellington Point Farmhouse. Arustic café and restaurant set on a working farm, perfect for families. Enjoy farm‑fresh breakfasts, hearty lunches, and great coffee in a relaxed indoor‑outdoor space.

Toowoomba: High Altitude Brews

A few of Toowoomba’s best cafés are perfectly positioned near big playgrounds and green spaces, ideal for grabbing a coffee then heading out with the children for time at nearby parks like Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park. Urban Grounds Café is just a short drive away from Leaps & Bounds, and it’s close to Laurel Bank Park, making it easy to combine a coffee with a quick outdoor play session with the children.
